We will be celebrating our 37 year church anniversary and mortgage burning service starting at 11:00am with our regular Sunday morning service. The mortgage burning ceremony will take place at the 2:00pm afternoon service, in which Presiding Bishop, J. Drew Sheard will be the special quest speaker.

Yes, members are asked to wear black and royal blue for unity, and anyone else who wishes to join in with us. These colors are optional however and we will be delighted to have you join us in whatever color you choose to wear.

Holy City you are invited to a hardy breakfast prepared just for you. Please join us in our Family Life Center on Sunday morning, September 14, 2025 @ 8:00am where you will be treated to a special breakfast, which is leading up to the grand celebration of our church anniversary and mortgage burning the following Sunday.

Yes, you can place an ad in the commemorative journal as long as it is placed before the August 17, 2025 deadline.
Half-page ad- $50
Full-page ad- $100
If you wish to place an ad you may contact Raven Knox @ (901) 338-0957. Please see her for a Commemorative Journal Ad Form which must be completed. Alternatively, you can complete and submit a digital Commemorative Journal Ad Form in the Commemorative Journal section of this page.
You may turn money for the ad into Raven Knox or Jerri Jackson.
NOTE: Ads can be emailed to HOLYCITYADS@GMAIL.COM , but all ads and photos must be of good quality before they can be placed in the Commemorative Journal.

You can certainly sow a special seed offering into this special occasion. As we celebrate 37 years of ministry, you may consider sowing a seed offering ending with 37 (i.e., $137, $237, $537, $1,037 etc.). No amount is too small or too large. Sow a seed that reflects your desired harvest.
NOTE: Please be sure to wright legibly on your envelops and checks, and specify what the funds are for (i.e., mortgage burning seed offering). This helps the finance office to properly process funds received. Thanks in advance!
The Commemorative Journal Committee has worked diligently putting together a journal to capture the history of the church and its founder, from its inception, throughout its 37 year history, and climaxing with the 2025 mortgage burning ceremony and grand celebration.
The Commemorative Journal will be available at a purchase price of $25. Please let us know in advance if you would be interested in purchasing a journal when they become available by clicking below.

Bishop Jerry W. Taylor and Holy City COGIC will once again be featured in Spirit Magazine, to coincide with our upcoming church anniversary and mortgage burning celebration.
